*MCS Monday* Let It Snow!

2009 October 12
by Sarah Martina

Hi everyone!

*Edited to Add: I went back and added more bling! :-) Couldn’t help myself.

I’m testing out a new way to upload photos… this one is linked from Photobucket. Apparently WordPress.com doesn’t like linking to Flickr! pics, so let me know how it looks! :-)

This card features the Let It Snow! stamp set by My Cute Stamps. I used an emboss resist technique here, and I think I like how it turned out. Next time I’ll wipe away the ink from my embossed image using a baby wipe (like I normally do). I was too lazy to get up and get some more, so I just used a rag I keep on hand in my craft space…It definitely didn’t get rid of the tint of the ink. Anyway, talk about a quick card!

I hope your weekend was full of fabulousness… I had a great time. :-)

Happy Columbus Day! (I’m off from work!… Yippee!)

*Hugs & Love!*

The DEETS: Card Stock (Papertrey Ink) | Stamps (My Cute Stamps) | Ink (Martha Stewart & Versa Mark) | Ribbon (Papertrey Ink) | Snowflake Punch (Martha Stewart) | Jewel (Recollections) | Embossing Powder (Ranger – White) | Corner Punch (EK Success)

The HOW TO: Trim card to A2 size. Round top corners. Stamp snowlfake pattern using Versa Mark ink. Dust with white embossing powder & heat. Let cool. Ink over embossed pattern, and white away excess ink. Tie white ribbon around middle of card into a bow. Punch snowflake from dark blue card stock and adhere to bow. Add jewel to center of snowflake. Stamp sentiment onto card base to the left of the bow.
