*’Tis the Season*

Hey y’all!

I just thought I’d share a card with you all that I made last week some time for the 2 Peas in a Bucket’s Fall Stamp Camp 2009. This particular class in the series was taught by Nichol Magouirk, and it was all sorts of fun. The focus was background stamping. I never submitted this to the challenge, but I still had so much fun and wanted to share it.

I first stamped the background image, then I distressed over it using the same ink. After that I ran it through an embossing folder and sanded down the raised portions a bit. Easy peasy.

Thanks for all of your love on my last post, it is getting me through these long days!

*Hugs & Love!*

The DEETS: Card Stock (Papertrey Ink – Rutic Cream) | Stamps (Hero Arts – Antique Brocade, TBA**) | Ink (Ranger Distress Inks - Vintage Photo, Colorbox – Red) | Velvet & Grosgrain ribbon (Michael’s) | Bell (Stash) | Twine (Papertrey Ink) | Embossing Folder (Cuttle Bug – Swiss Dots) | Corner Rounder (EK Success)

The HOW TO: Trim cream card stock to 4.25″x5″ card and round bottom corners. Stamp background image on separate cream card stock, then distress using same ink. Dry emboss stamped card stock, then lightly sand down raised portions. Adhere to bottom of card using foam adhesive. Stamp ornament images and cut out. Add velvet and grosgrain ribbon. Tie on bell with twine, then add stamped ornaments with foam adhesive.  Stamp sentiment.

ROTFL – - because of my comments last night….
A BELL though – that’s clever!! I’ll have to look in to that for my holiday cards. I don’t know what you did on that bottom part….stamped…edged….embossed and then scrubbed? Not sure….but it’s HOT!
