Hey y’all!

Have you checked out the yummy new color challenge at the Embellish Magazine blog?

Embellish - Best Wishes 3

This is probably one of my most favorite color combos ever! Feel free to join in and play along with us this week… you have until Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:59 PM EST. I can’t wait to see what you create!!!

—————————————————————————————————————————-

For my card, I used a sketch by sweet Emma, or “M” if you’re cool with her like I am… lol! Just kidding! I can only HOPE she notices my schtuff. She has great taste (like her Mommy!).  Here’s the sketch (with M hiding behind it!):

M's Sketch 3

I’m also pleased to announce that I used the double-bunny-ear method as taught by the renound tutorial queen, Savitri Wilder, also known as M’s Mom. :-) See that ribbon? Nothing but the dots showing! *taking a bow*  lol…

Sydney also made a card for M’s challenge, but I haven’t taken a picture of it yet… I’ll post it soon. She actually beat me to the challenge, and had a ball! :-)

*Hugs & Love!*

The DEETS: Card stock (Papertrey Ink – White, Spring Moss) | Patterned Paper (American Crafts… the word bubble) | Ribbon (Papertrey Ink – Dark Chocolate) | Stamps (Amy Butler for K & Co.- Lotus Butterfly Set) | Ink (Colorbox - Dark Brown, Papertrey Ink – Berry Sorbet) | Pearl (Recollections) | Owl Image (MyPhotoshopBrushes.com)

The HOW TO: Trim white card stock to A2 size. Mask rectangle and stamp background pattern. Trim half tag shape from white card stock and mat onto green card stock. Print and cut out owl image, then adhere to tag using foam adhesive. Tie bow with ribbon, and add pearl. Cut out word bubble, stamp sentiment, and adhere to tag using foam adhesive.

LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY!!! Awesome card and I think you actually used coral where I looked at mine and I think mine’s orange. BUT, color’s in the eye of the beholder, right? It’s what our eyes perceive he he he… Ok, maybe I’m trying to hard to convince myself that I used coral :)
